Coved sheet vinyl & rubber flooring
Commercial vinyl and rubber sheet goods can be installed with the material extending up the wall — most commonly 4 to 8 inches, though some hospital specifications call for cove heights up to 48 inches.
This coved installation eliminates the traditional 90-degree floor-to-wall corner where dirt and contaminants collect. The result is a surface that is easier to clean, sanitize and maintain, which makes it especially valuable in healthcare, veterinary, food-service and other environments where cleanliness is critical.
Heat-welded seams
Vinyl and rubber sheet goods can also be heat welded at the seams to create a continuous surface. The process mechanically fuses the material seam to seam, producing a durable, sanitary system with no open joints for moisture or bacteria to penetrate.
